Shipping, returns and refund policy
Shipping Information
Worldwide Delivery: We are pleased to offer worldwide shipping on all fine art print orders, directly from our studio in Northern India. No matter where you are located, we will get your artwork to you safely. In fact, all print orders include free international shipping – there is no additional charge for delivery, regardless of destination.
Production Time: Each photograph is printed to order using archival pigment inks on museum-quality paper. Please allow approximately 7 business days for your print to be meticulously produced and reviewed prior to shipment. This careful attention ensures that the print you receive meets our exacting quality standards. We will send you a confirmation once your print is in production, and another notification when it has shipped.
Packaging: Your unframed print will be handled with the utmost care. We use white cotton gloves when handling the print to prevent any marks. The print is then rolled with acid-free protective tissue and placed in a sturdy, reinforced cardboard tube. This packaging is designed to shield the artwork from moisture, bending, or any potential transit damage. Each tube is securely sealed and labeled for safe transport. (For any special orders that include framing or mounting, custom packaging and crating will be used to protect the artwork, though by default we ship prints unframed.)
Transit Time: Shipping is via reputable courier services (such as DHL, FedEx, or similar) with tracking provided for every shipment. Once dispatched, deliveries generally arrive within 10–15 business days internationally. Actual delivery times may vary by country and are subject to customs processing times. For orders within India, transit is typically faster (often 3–7 days). You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is shipped, allowing you to follow its journey. All shipments are insured for their full value to protect against loss or damage in transit.
Customs and Duties: Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the destination country. Such fees (if any) are the responsibility of the collector/recipient. We have no control over these government-imposed charges and cannot predict their amount. Your shipping carrier will usually contact you if any fees are due upon import. We advise checking with your local customs office for information on potential import fees for artwork. Rest assured, we complete all necessary export documentation on our side to ensure smooth customs clearance.
Shipping Notifications: We strive to keep you informed at every step. You will receive an email confirmation when your order is placed, and another notification when the print has shipped (including the tracking number and a link to the courier’s tracking page). If you have not received any update within the expected timeline, please check your email’s spam folder or feel welcome to contact us for an update. We are here to assist and want to ensure a transparent, worry-free delivery process.
Delayed or Rush Deliveries: If you require a delivery by a specific date (for instance, for a gallery opening or a gift), please contact us before or immediately after placing your order. In many cases, we can expedite production or use express shipping at an additional cost to meet your deadline. Conversely, if a shipment is taking longer than expected due to courier delays or customs, we will proactively work with the courier to resolve the issue. Your patience is appreciated in such rare cases, and we will keep you informed. Our goal is to ensure your artwork reaches you as smoothly and swiftly as possible, without compromising on safety.
Returns & Exchanges
All Sales are Final: Each fine art print from Poras Chaudhary is custom made to order, printed especially for you. For this reason, purchases of photographic prints are final – we are unable to offer returns or exchanges if you simply change your mind. Please make your selections carefully and feel free to consult with us prior to purchase; we’re happy to answer questions or provide guidance to ensure you choose a piece you’ll love. We stand by the quality of our work and are confident that the print you receive will meet or exceed your expectations.
Damaged in Transit: We package our prints extremely carefully, but in the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged, please notify us immediately. Inspect the packaging and the print upon arrival. If you see any damage, take clear photographs of the outside of the package and the damage to the print itself. Contact us within 5 days of delivery to report the issue (the sooner the better, ideally immediately upon receipt). Include the photos and a description of the damage in your email. We will respond promptly and work with you on a resolution. In most cases, for verified transit damage, we will offer to replace the print at no cost to you as quickly as possible. We may coordinate with the shipping insurer or courier for pickup of the damaged item, so please retain all original packaging materials until we advise they can be discarded.
Defects or Quality Issues: Every print is thoroughly checked before shipping, but if you discover a defect in the print (such as a printing flaw or crease that slipped through our inspection), please contact us with details and photos of the issue. Our policy is to ensure you receive a perfect piece of art. Verified defects or errors in fulfillment (e.g., wrong image sent) will be corrected with a replacement print or, in special cases, a refund if replacement is not possible. We will cover any shipping costs for returning a flawed print and sending a new one to you. Your satisfaction as a collector is of utmost importance.
Exchanges: Because editions are limited and prints are made to order, we do not generally offer exchanges (for example, exchanging one image for another) once a print has been produced. If you realize you made an error in your order (such as choosing the wrong size or image) and the print has not yet gone into production, please contact us immediately. We will try to accommodate adjustments if production hasn’t begun. Otherwise, once printed, the order is considered final. Exchanges for a different edition or size would require a new purchase. However, as a courtesy, we may offer a credit or discount on a re-order in certain cases – this is handled case by case, at our discretion, to be fair to the collector and maintain the integrity of the limited editions.
Return Shipping: In the rare event that a return is authorized (for instance, for a damaged or defective print that we need sent back), we will provide instructions. Typically, we would arrange a prepaid return shipping label or coordinate pickup, so you do not incur additional shipping costs. The print would need to be packaged in its original tube (or equivalent secure packaging) for the return transit. We ask that you handle the artwork with care during this process. Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will proceed with the replacement or agreed resolution.
Important Note: Fine art prints are delicate and valuable items. We want every collector to have an excellent experience, from purchase to the many years of enjoyment of the art. While we cannot accept returns for buyer’s remorse, please know that we are committed to making things right if something goes wrong in the fulfillment of your order. Our reputation rests on your happiness with the art you receive. We appreciate your understanding of these policies, which allow us to continue offering exclusive limited edition works. Refunds
Refunds are generally only issued in the case that we cannot fulfill your order (for example, if the last print of an edition was sold simultaneously to another collector due to a website error, or if a print is lost and no replacement is possible). In such rare cases, we will promptly refund any payment made. Refunds, if granted, will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow some time for the refund to appear on your statement (this can vary depending on your bank or credit card).
