The Boudha

The majestic Boudhanath Stupa glowing in the morning sunlight, rises against the clear blue sky, its iconic eyes watching over the city of Kathmandu with timeless serenity. Draped in vibrant prayer flags fluttering in the breeze, this sacred monument is a symbol of peace, spirituality, and the enduring heritage of Tibetan Buddhism.

Boudhanath Stupa is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. As of 1979, Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along with Swayambhunath, it is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area.
